First, find a song that would sound good in Nightcore style. This is actually the hardest part of this tutorial. Many people tried but failed, when making Nightcore songs. So.. Be prepared to spend a long time searching for Nightcoreable songs. Look for slow songs with female vocals! These are usually the best choices.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WHEN LOOKING FOR SONGS TO NIGHTCORE, YOU SHOULD STAY AROUND THE GENRES OF EURO TRANCE, EURO DANCE, VOCAL TRANCE, AND DANCE. ANY OTHER GENRES SPED UP (ROCK/COUNTRY/POP/ETC) SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED NIGHTCORE SONGS, BUT RATHER SPEED EDITS.
Now, we’ll start:
1: Get the free Audacity software from http://audacityteam.org
2: Import the audio you want to make a Nightcore song from into Audacity
3α: Press Effect --> Change Speed. Increase the percent change between 15 to 25 percent, but try to keep as close to 20 as possible.
3β: Click on the little black arrow topleft of the waveform --> Rate --> Other. Increase the Hz from 44100 to 52920 for 20 percent. Use a calculator to find the rates for other percentages. This method results in the least quality loss.
4: Press File and export the song in the format you want it.
